Pennyworth Privacy Policy

Pennyworth LLC operates Pennyworth Auctions and the BidHarbor platform. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse, register, bid, buy, sell, arrange pickup or shipping, or contact us through our services. The applicable Auction Terms govern auction purchases; the Platform Terms govern your account. Our SMS provisions in our Platform Terms explain optional text messages. Registering or accepting general terms does not, by itself, enroll you in SMS.

Information we collect

• Account and contact information: your name, email, phone, address, account preferences and the information you provide when registering or signing in, including information supplied by a sign-in provider you choose.
• Auction and transaction records: bids, purchases, invoices, payments and refunds, pickup or shipping arrangements, release records, tax or resale documentation you supply, and support correspondence.
• Consent and safety records: your communication choices, opt-in and opt-out evidence, relevant dates and policy versions, and records used to investigate abuse, protect accounts and resolve disputes.
• Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, pages and actions within our services, cookies and similar identifiers, and diagnostic or security logs. Specific measurement choices are explained below.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts and auctions; record bids and orders; process payments and refunds; arrange pickup, shipping and customer support; maintain transaction and consent evidence; prevent fraud and abuse; resolve disputes; comply with legal obligations; and maintain and improve our services. Where enabled, automated tools help staff prepare service communications and recommend relevant auction items. Communication preferences and SMS suppression rules still apply.

We send necessary account, transaction and legal notices through appropriate non-SMS channels. Marketing choices are separate from notices required to administer an existing account or transaction. Promotional email includes an unsubscribe option. SMS is optional, as explained below.

Payments

Our payment processor, Stripe, handles payment-card details. Pennyworth does not store full card numbers or card security codes. We retain processor references, limited card descriptors, transaction amounts and payment status needed to administer your purchases and account.

How information is disclosed

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information where needed to service providers that operate hosting, payments, communications, shipping, security and support on our behalf. Messaging providers, including Brevo, process phone numbers, message content and delivery information to carry out the messages you have requested. They are not given permission by Pennyworth to use your information for their own marketing.

For an independent auction company's sale, information needed to invoice, fulfill, release or resolve that sale may be made available to the conducting company. This does not give that company Pennyworth SMS consent or permission to add you to its own marketing list. We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or as necessary to protect legal rights and investigate fraud or security incidents, subject to applicable law.

Mobile information and SMS consent

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Pennyworth does not sell, rent or transfer SMS subscriber lists or consent to another business for its own messaging.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.

Your SMS choices

You choose whether to receive Pennyworth text messages through a separate, optional consent control. A phone number, account registration or purchase alone is not SMS consent. Consent is not a condition of bidding or purchase.

Reply STOP to the sending number to opt out, or turn off SMS in your account settings. A provider or carrier STOP or suppression takes priority over a local preference: checking a box again does not clear it. To rejoin after STOP, follow the provider's supported re-enrollment process. Cookies and account functions

We use cookies or similar storage for functions such as sign-in, security, preferences and reliable page operation. Blocking essential cookies can prevent account features from working. Optional advertising and photograph measurement have the separate controls described below.

Advertising measurement

Our Meta Pixel may count generic page views, registrations, bids, and checkout starts. BidHarbor does not send Meta your name, email, phone, address, account or bidder number, bid amount, invoice number, purchase amount, card information, or customer list. Generic event parameters do not include lot or item IDs or titles. When enabled, server-side delivery sends only the same generic event, a random deduplication identifier, the public site URL, and optional validated Meta browser or click identifiers. Meta may still process browser and device information under its own privacy policy when the Pixel loads, including the public page URL being viewed.

We honor Global Privacy Control. You can also disable Meta measurement on this browser. If you are signed in, the choice becomes a durable account preference and also suppresses pending server-side Meta events:

Selected auction lots may compare approved featured photographs using a first-party browser cookie and coded display/click records. Test history is retained separately from the cookie. You can read the details and disable this measurement without affecting your ability to browse or bid:

Retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including account operation, fulfillment, tax and accounting requirements, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and evidence of consent or withdrawal. Closing an account does not automatically erase records we must retain. Opt-out and suppression records may be retained to prevent unwanted future messages. Retention depends on the record and applicable obligations; we do not promise immediate or universal deletion.

We use access controls and other administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and our operations. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your sign-in credentials and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account use.

Optional BidHarbor analytics

Optional first-party visit measurement starts only after your choice. Account-linked measurement is a separate option. Your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal keeps it off. Detailed observations use a 90-day retention schedule; required auction records remain separate.

Access, corrections and privacy requests

You can update account details and communication preferences in account settings. To request access, correction, deletion or account closure, or to ask about another privacy right available to you, email admin@pennyworthauctions.com or write to Pennyworth LLC, 3225 FM 2001, Suites 603 & 604, Buda, TX 78610-3784. Identify your request without sending passwords or full payment-card details. We may verify your identity before acting. We respond as required by applicable law and explain any lawful retention or other limitation. If you disagree with our response, contact the same address and request a review.

Age and external services

Our auction accounts and purchases are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect children's information for auction accounts. Contact us if you believe a child has provided it. Other websites, independent auction companies and third-party sign-in services have their own privacy practices for their own activities.

Policy updates

We identify revisions by the version date above and provide additional notice or request consent where required. An update does not turn an opt-out into an opt-in, expand a prior SMS grant automatically, or replace the terms version recorded for an earlier auction or agreement.
