Your photograph measurement choice
Photograph measurement is optional. Your choice does not affect browsing or bidding.
This browser
Photograph measurement is allowed. Only selected, active tests can participate.
Disabling clears the photograph identifier cookie and stops future experiment requests from this browser. It does not remove existing test records.
Photograph choices and measurement
We sometimes compare approved photographs of the same auction lot to learn which one helps people discover it. These tests affect the featured photograph, not the item, its condition, price, bidding rules, or the photographs available in its lot details.
Reference image identifies a product illustration or stock photograph. Warehouse photo identifies a photographed item; it may show an identical unit in the same product family. Read the lot's condition and full gallery before bidding.
A participating browser receives a random first-party identifier in a cookie that lasts up to 30 days. It keeps that browser's photograph choice consistent while the cookie is present. Clearing or blocking cookies can change the choice.
For each test we record a separate coded identifier, the photograph shown, and the time of a qualified display or click. The experiment records do not contain your name, account or bidder number, IP address, or payment details. Existing test records are retained as an audit history; they are not automatically deleted when the cookie expires. No outside analytics provider receives these photograph-test records.
These counts describe browsers and clicks. They do not prove unique people, completed purchases, or satisfaction. An operator reviews any recommended photograph.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable participation. You can also disable photograph measurement for this browser. The preference lasts up to one year unless you clear cookies; it applies on this website and does not change your account, bidding access, or other measurement preferences.
