Questions, answered plainly

Bidding, money, pickup, selling. If it isn’t here, call or text (737) 500-2225 β€” a human answers.

Bidding

Can the house see my maximum bid?

No. Your sealed maximum is never visible to staff, other bidders, or in any report. It only ever bids on your behalf, only as much as needed, up to your limit.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. Signing up and browsing are free. A card on file is required to place a bid β€” it’s only charged on what you win.

What if I’m outbid?

We notify you instantly β€” enable alerts and one tap puts you back in the fight.

Can I get sniped at the last second?

No. A bid in the final 5 minutes resets that lot’s clock by 5 minutes. The gavel falls when bidding truly stops.

Who sees my name when I bid?

Nobody β€” masking is automatic for everyone. Public bid history shows a friendly alias that changes on every lot: you might be BigTex21 on one lot and Mellon25 on the next, so nobody can follow you around the catalog. Your real name and bidder number never appear publicly, period.

Regulars who want a reputation can flip a switch in Account settings to show their chosen bidder name instead β€” the made-up public handle picked at signup, which we don’t allow to be a real name. Either way, who you actually are stays in the vault.

Payment & fees

What is the buyer’s premium?

15% is added to the hammer price, plus applicable Texas sales tax (8.25%). It’s shown on every lot before you bid β€” the invoice matches the math.

How do I pay?

Automatically, by the card on file β€” it’s charged for your itemized total the moment the auction closes, and only ever for what you win. Want to pay cash instead? Cash-buyer standing is granted by the office to bidders with proven history β€” ask once you’ve a few clean pickups behind you.

Tax exempt?

Bring a valid resale or exemption certificate to the office and we’ll set your account accordingly.

Pickup

When and where do I pick up?

3225 FM 2001, Suites 603–604, Buda, TX 78610 (directions), Mon–Fri 11–6 and Sat 2–6, within 3 business days of close (Sundays excluded). Pennyworth Plus members get 7. Just bring your bidder ID.

What if I can’t make the window?

Call or text (737) 500-2225 before the window closes β€” we’re reasonable with people who talk to us. Items not collected and not arranged may be forfeited; see the terms of sale.

Do you ship?

We’re a local-pickup house β€” that’s why nothing arrives broken and there are no shipping fees baked into your price.

Selling

Can you sell my items?

Yes β€” estates, business inventory, surplus, or consignment of a few good pieces. Start at Sell With Us and we’ll respond within one business day.

I’m a receiver, attorney, or landlord with assets to move.

We handle receivership and liquidation sales with confidential intake and documented pricing β€” see bankruptcy & receivership services.
